FILLING IN THE URBAN FABRIC

While the Pittsburgh office head of Milhaus, Shawn led the acquisition of an off-market, 12-acre site consisting of low-scale warehouse buildings in the heart of the vibrant Lawrenceville neighborhood in 2015. The project was designed with the goal of bridging the gap in the dense urban fabric on either side of the site. The property offers newly constructed apartments with a host of modern amenities while respecting both the surrounding community and the site’s former use as the Allegheny Arsenal – one of the largest Union Army arsenals in use during the Civil War.  Shawn led the team and gained approvals for a master plan consisting of 625 units and completed the design of the first phase consisting of 240 units and 20,000 square feet of retail.
